I love this book for its inspiring message on the complexity of the developing mind and the persistence of a loving connection. It is written in an extremely unique and fresh poetic style that really made me think about what I was reading.
An enjoyable book for all ages! The drawings are beautifully done with a childlike sense of whimsy.
This short story by Myra Travin touched my heart. I also enjoyed the illustrations. Recommend this for both young folk and adults.1
This is a beautiful story told in a very poetic style. Travin does not speak down to her readers. Although this is marketed as a children's book it is a book that appeals to all ages. I found it to be very hopeful and life affirming but not in the trite "happily ever after" way. The lush and dreamy illustrations complement the story beautufully. I bought one for myself but I'm gifting a copy to 5 different people including my 15 year old daughter. I strongly recommend this book!
